Can be very costly, I think I may just go ahead with the re-anodising. Either that or I will have it all cleaned up in bare silver and make the writing black.

It is a very nice plain'ish look already so I probably shouldn't mess with it but how bad can it possibly turn out?

just a heads up.

i found that everytime I had something re-anodised it never came close to the quality of the original

there, I said. now go ahead and do it  ;)
