Wanted: Pre and power amp

I just missed a very good deal on a Rotel power amp because the gentleman selling it doesn't understand English.... Surely when you ask for the model number because you're interested and want to do some research quickly doesn't mean chuck it on Gumtree and flog it. Anyway, very peeved at the moment

So, I'm looking for a pre and power amp preferably Rotel or similar, 100 wpc stereo and must be bridgable in case I want to run them as mono blocks. Pre must have a phono-stage as I can't afford to chuch a PS in straight away. My upgrade will be slow and steady.

I do have the Pioneer A-60 as a part trade if you're interested.

Thanks but that's a little more than I want to spend.

I'm looking at around 1000 to 1500 per unit.

Rudi has a good 100 wpc power amp for sale in that price bracket.. ;)

Just a word of warning from my experience. If you enjoy the sound of the A60 into the B&W's, I fear you may well not like the Rotel house sound. IMO. I would look at NAD or some such.

Listen to the items, preferably in your setup, before committing.

There should not be any problem partnering any Rotel preamp with any of their power amps, e.g. the RC-1070 with the RB-1070/80/90 power amps etc, or the older 89x or 9xx series preamps into the 9xx series power amps. I run a Rotel RB-1080 power amp into my B&W 683s, very happy with the sound.

I have Rotel RC-972 (remote control PRE) and RB-981 (130w/ch POWER) amps. Only 2 small problems.
1. No Phono stage
2. I need to find a Rotel RA-1070 integrated amp first before I sell these.

Iv got a Rotel pre and Nad power advertised, both in amazing condition, Rotel still has original packaging, no remote though... Prices slightly negotiable, pm me. Also Rotel pre has a phono stage, used it in my stereo setup with a turntable, the phono is great. Google for specs and let me know ;)

Those look pretty good and as soon as you have found what you need please let me know. I may have a phon-stage by then.

Not sure yet, I know I got it for a bargain and may even hang on to it.
