Hi There!!

I am looking for a pair of second hand, Audiophile Floorstanding Speakers. Must preferably be black, be in a good condition. have 2 or 3 seven or eight inch bass drivers, mid and tweeter must be loud and crisp. Can be 4,6 or 8Ohm. Power handling can be from 200 Watt RMS to 500 watt RMS

In other words, I am looking for the perfect speaker at an affordable price.  ;D

Send Me some Pictures and how much $$$$ you want for them. :o I might just SUPRISE You!!

There is no such thing. All depends on personal taste, source, amplification and the room they are in.

Ek wil nie sulke goed hoor nie. My Amplifier is good, my room is perfect!! Now We only need the Speakers. Send Me your pic's.  ;D

Jacques, ek probeer net keer dat jy nie in dieselfde slagyster as so baie ander trap nie. Ja, jou versterker is goed op papier maar of jou luisterkamer egter so perfek is soos jy dink is 'n ander vraag. In baie posts word daar gepraat van die effek wat 'n kamer op klank het en daar is mense wat baie geld spandeer om goed soos klankweerkaatsings te kanseller en bass traps te bou om die bas te beheer.

Ek se weereens die perfekte luidspreker(of ander audio toerusting) bestaan nie, maar jy kan 'n baie goeie stel opbou deur "synergy" tussen die verskillende komponente te kry en dit gaan jy alleenlik kry deur te luister, luister, luister alvorens jy enige geld uitgee.

+1. Such true words. Its all about the total setup, including room acoustics which can have the biggest impact of all. En in mooi afrikaans uitgespel  ;D

Jacques don't make the same mistake as other have done. Your specifications are good on paper but the listening room is not as perfect as you may think.

In many posts there has been talk about the effect of a room on sound / audio and alot of money has been spent on treatment and bass traps to make the bass sound better.

No such thing as a perfect loud speaker or any audio equipment for that matter, but you can get good synergy from basic equipment and all you have to do is listen, listen and do more listening before you spend any money.

So how did i do?

My Liewe Oom Alphabet.

Jy het jou punt gemaak en ek verstaan. Ek soek net nice skoon duidelike musiek. Ek is nou besig om deur een van die Forum maaitjies vir my 2 x 15 duim subs te bou. Dit behoort in September klaar te wees.

En ek belowe voor ek enige iets koop sal ek eers vir jou vra of dit OK is of nie? Net vir raad, ek belowe nie dat ek gaan luister nie. ;D

J, in the same boat as you (well ok, I think my room might/does suck) but looking for some speakers to float my boat.....watching this with interest.
